Columbidae Conservation
a charity for the global conservation of pigeons and doves

Columbidae Conservation is a UK based charity (exempt status) that work towards the conservation all species within the Columbidae family, the pigeons and doves, and their habitat.

Columbidae Conservation aims to achieve this by:

  • building networks and partnerships with international NGOs that share Columbidae Conservation’s bird conservation goals
  • developing conservation projects, activities, and materials that facilitate local conservation, management, and research

Columbidae Conservation’s goals are to:

  • promote the scientific study and conservation of pigeons and doves and their habitats
  • promote the exchange of information among ornithologists, resource managers, and conservationists
  • provide a central body to pool concerns, consolidate efforts, and increase the scope of members and affiliated groups to influence decision-making on matters affecting pigeons worldwide
  • provide technical assistance, advice, support and training in bird and habitat research, management, conservation, and outreach and education to members, local governments, institutions and conservation involved in pigeon conservation
