Walker (jon "at" columbidae.org.uk) In 2004 Jon completed a PhD entitled 'Feeding ecology and rarity of frugivorous birds in tropical rain forest' at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. This work covers two lowland rain forest sites on the Indonesian Island of Sulawesi and includes 11 species of pigeon: Publications Walker, J.S. (jon “at” columbidae.org.uk) (2007). Dietary specialization and fruit availability among frugivorous birds on Sulawesi. Ibis 149: 345-356. A number of other scientific papers from this research are currently in review. |
